7 writers received ‘Hindi Sahitya Ratna Samman’
Prayagraj: Prayagraj is a literary city. Today, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, this event is very special and noteworthy. It has been a great pleasure to come to this literary city. I myself belong to a literary family, my father Dr. Harirath Bhatt ‘Shailesh’ has been a famous litterateur of his time. In his presence, poetry symposiums have been organized at my residence in Dehradun city. At that time, I used to listen to the poets’ compositions very carefully. This was said by famous actress Himani Shivpuri in the felicitation ceremony and kavi sammelan-mushaira organized by ‘Guftgu’ on Hindi Diwas at ‘Mata Ji Rassai’ in Civil on Sunday evening.
Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Ghazi, President of Guftagu, said that Himani Shivpuri and Rajendra Gupta coming to Prayagraj on the special occasion of Hindi Diwas and participating in our program is noteworthy for the whole of Prayagraj. It is a matter of pride for us that these artists have accepted our request. Famous actor Rajendra Gupta, who was presiding over the program, said that Prayagraj has so much attraction that one feels like coming here again and again. I had just come to the Guftagu program on 18 May, and it felt good to come again. This program held on Hindi Diwas is very special.
Chief Warden of Civil Defence Anil Kumar alias Annu Bhaiya said that the literary identity of Prayagraj is highlighted by the continuous awakening of literary spirit by Guftagu. Educationist Pankaj Jaiswal said that Himani Shivpuri and Rajendra Gupta’s visit to Prayagraj is a matter of great honour for us. The programme was conducted by Manmohan Singh Tanha. Guftagu’s Secretary Naresh Kumar Mahrani expressed his gratitude to everyone. In the second round, a kavi sammelan and mushaira were organized. Anil Manav, Dhirendra Singh Naga, Manjulata Nagesh, Ajit Sharma Akash, Shibli Sana, Neena Mohan Srivastava, Sanjay Saxena, Rachna Saxena, Harish Verma and Asif Usmani presented their poems.
