Rajkumar Tripathi, Kashi Prasad elected prez & sec respectively

Prayagraj: Biennial election and convention of the Public Works Department, State Transport Drivers Association, Prayagraj, was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere at the Provincial Section Workshop Court. The election was overseen by Provincial President Shivkumar Yadav and Provincial General Secretary Subhash Chandra Mishra, with Provincial Vice Presidents Manoj Rawat, Shakeel Ahmed, and the Federation’s Subhash Kumar and Narendra Kumar acting as election officers. In the election for the post of District President, Rajkumar Tripathi defeated his nearest rival and current District President Rajkumar Rawat by a margin of 6 votes. Similarly, Kashi Prasad won the post of District Minister by defeating his rival and current District Minister Kanhaiyalal Kesharwani by 9 votes.

Out of a total of 37 voters, 36 cast their ballots. Rajkumar Tripathi, the winning candidate for the post of president, received 22 votes, while the current president, Rajkumar Rawat, received 16. One vote was not cast. Kashi Prasad received 23 votes for the post of district minister, and Kanhaiyalal Kesharwani received 14 votes. All other positions were elected unopposed. Congratulating the victorious officials, Provincial President Shivkumar Yadav said that unity and dedication are the root of strength in an organization. All officials should work to strengthen the organization by increasing mutual interaction. Provincial General Secretary Subhash Chandra Mishra assured that employee problems would be resolved on priority at the Lucknow level.

Former President Rajendra Bahadur Singh, former Minister Ashok Kumar Dwivedi, Ashok Singh, Muralidhar, Vijay Kumar Tiwari, Jaiprakash Mishra, Mahendra Kumar Singh, Ambika Shukla, Phoolchand Yadav, Ram Adhar Pal and officials of other organizations of the department were present in the convention and extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the winning candidates.
