Differently-abled models seizing the focus
Prayagraj: The epic three-day MRFW Edition 19, one of the country’s largest and most stunning fashion events, was conducted with much pomp and passion at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj. On this particular occasion, a 110-foot-long ramp was built, breaking the previous record. 430 models, 35 fashion designers, and 27 makeup artists from various Indian states took part in the event.
The keynote guest at this historic occasion was renowned television actress Kamya Punjabi, whose presence gave a lot of beauty and excitement to the presentation. The show opened with a dramatic opening sequence starring Kavya Jaiswal and Varnika Shukla, whose spellbinding performances on the ramp captured everyone’s hearts. Ekta Tiwari and Aman Siddiqui stole the event with their grace and confidence, leaving the crowd mesmerized.
Many well-known designers and models graced this prestigious event, including international designer Sadiq Raza, acclaimed fashion designer Rai Kishori, textile designer Saumya, and designers from Lovely Professional University, with Ravi Rajoria being one of the prominent names.
Under the leadership of Vishal Montrose (Founder of MRFW) and Nitin Bhardwaj (Co-Founder), the show was organized by D Square Events. The event also witnessed the presence of IRS Narendra Yadav, the Brand Ambassador of the Fit India Movement, as the chief guest. The highlight of the show was the participation of differently-abled models, who walked the ramp with grace and confidence. The audience gave them a standing ovation, sending out a powerful message that fashion is not just about beauty—it’s about confidence and inclusivity.
The organizer, M.K. Nawaz, stated, “MRFW is not just a fashion show; it is a platform that gives equal opportunities to people from every background and ability. The participation of differently-abled models moved us deeply and filled us with pride.” Cultural event organizer Sharad Kumar Mishra added, “Our goal is to provide a stage for Indian talent where they can make a mark at both national and international levels. We feel fortunate that this journey began from the land of Prayagraj.” MRFW Edition 19 not only set a new milestone in the world of fashion but also proved that true beauty shines through spirit and courage. The history created on the soil of Prayagraj will redefine the meaning of fashion in the times to come.
