Inter I’nal Cultural & Games Extravaganza held by Boys’ High School & College
Prayagraj: Excitement, enthusiasm and zeal marked the second day of Alfresco-2025, an Inter Institutional Cultural and Games Extravaganza, organized by Boys’ High School (BHS) and College here on Wednesday. The competitors of the participating educational institutions pitched their brains and knowledge to bring laurels for their institutions.
The day commenced with the first on-stage event on `Vocabquest’, followed by `Interlocution;,`Sur Sangram’, `A Pantomime’, and `Happy Feet’. The off-stage events were `Roll the Reels’, `Catchphrase’, `Paintomania’ and `Pratibimba’. The test of knowledge and learning exhibited by the participants in Vocabquest was very impressive. It is rightly said that words are most powerful tool to impact the world. Next on-stage event was Interlocution. This event focused on the art of meaningful dialogue. It is an engaging literary event where participants have to converse to engage a dialogue based on a poem or extract from English Literature, while the remaining groups support as a chorus.
In the event Sur Sangram, the participants have proved the point that music expressesthat which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent. In the event, Paintomime, the students presented a comedy based on the theme “A Folklore or Slaptick in which they exhibited that actions speak louder than words. This was followed by the event, “Roll the Reels”. It was reel making competition where the participants have to shoot four separate reels. The event ‘Happy Feet’ saw group dance performances on the theme ‘Time Travel’. The dancers mesmerized everyone with their synchronization, co-ordination and dance moves that truly rocked the stage.
In the off-stage event, Catchphrase the participants expressed their creativity, wit and clarity of thoughts. on the given images. The event `Paintomania’on the theme `A Wild Life Sanctuary/A National Park, is a poster making competition. The participants have to blend the two techniques, that is, collage and painting to depict the theme as a 2D poster. The event, `Pratibimba’ was a Hindi poetry writing competition. In this competition the participants showcase their poetry writing talents.
BHS beats BJS 7–0, & KPS with 7-1 score in football matches: Boys High School (BHS) continued its impressive performance in the Alfresco 2025 Football Tournament, defeating BJS 7–0 in a match played at 7:00 am. BHS dominated the match from the start. Sameer and Asif scored goals for the team to give them the lead. The first half ended 3–0. Divyanshu scored twice in the second half, while Akrit and Aaqib added brilliant goals to consolidate the victory. BHS took a 5–0 lead in the first half and maintained complete dominance throughout the match. The match ultimately ended with a one-sided score of 7–0. Earlier, thrilling football match was played between Boys’ High School BHS) and College and Khelgoan Public School on BHS ground on Tuesday in Alfresco 2025. The BHS team exhibited their skill in the game and defeated their opponents by seven goals to one. In the first half, the BHS took a lead and scored four goals. In the second half BHS scored more goals while KPS managed to score one goal. Hence, BHS won the match by (7-1). The scorers for BHS were Sameer (4), Asif (2) and Ayan (1). and from KPS Ritwik scored a single goal.
