PHULPUR, PRAYAGRAJ: The birth anniversary of the first Home Minister of independent India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the martyrdom day of the first woman Prime Minister of India Iron Lady Late Indira Gandhi were celebrated under the chairmanship of Congress Party’s Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed at Bhardwaj Gurukul Institute located in Rudapur of Babuganj area. It was celebrated by placing wreaths and flowers on the portraits of both the leaders. On this occasion Ahmed said that the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Iron Lady Indira Gandhi is celebrated every year on 31 October. Gandhi was determined in the fight for patriotism and freedom since childhood and for the first time in the cabinet of Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri he got the charge of the Ministry of Information and Public Relations, which she handled very efficiently. In 1966, she took charge as a woman Prime Minister for the first time and brought revolutionary changes in the country. In 1984 he registered the presence of India’s empowerment in the world. She nationalized 14 national banks. In 1971, she defeated Pakistan and liberated Bangladesh. Today we pay our respects to both the leaders.
