Prayagraj: Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani said, “Vande Mataram song is the soul of the new consciousness of the nation but unfortunately for the sake of vote bank it was not respected by Congress, SP and other opposition parties for 67 years and it was repeatedly insulted from the streets to the Parliament and in 2016, while being a councilor, I had to struggle to make Vande Mataram song compulsory in the mini house and since 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the national song Vande Mataram is being respected in the entire country.”
On this occasion, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani said that it was the misfortune of the country that even after 67 years of independence, the leaders of Jihadi mentality of Congress, SP, RJD and BSP, in the greed of their vote bank and under the guise of religion and language, kept insulting the song Vande Mataram and said that while being a councilor, in 2016, he had to fight to make the song Vande Mataram compulsory in the mini house of the Municipal Corporation and got it passed.
On the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram, on the call of the BJP state organization, under the leadership of BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, BJP Prayagraj Metropolitan and other social organizations organized a function at Subhash Square Civil Line. A mass singing of the song Vande Mataram was organised. On this occasion, after paying tribute to the author of the song Vande Mataram, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, all those present collectively sang the song Vande Mataram for the unity and integrity of the nation.
On this occasion, the chief guest of the program, Sohanlal Mali, Vice President of the State Backward Commission, said that the song Vande Mataram is the voice of the soul of India and is the immortal mantra of the country’s independence and said that ‘Vande Mataram’ is an emotional form of collective eternal expression of India’s devotion and strength. He said that the commemorative coin and postage stamp in tribute to the national anthem, issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the song Vande Mataram, will promote India’s eternal national consciousness and will prove helpful in building a developed, self-reliant and united India.
On this occasion, former Cabinet Minister Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur, former MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi and MLA Harsh Vardhan Bajpai said that in reality, this immortal song is the soul of India’s new consciousness and the inspiration of patriotism, which has succeeded in giving a new direction to India and awakening the collective consciousness of India.
Presiding over the programme, BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta said that due to its divine influence, the song Vande Mataram has the power to fill the society with the spirit of dedication towards the nation even after 150 years. Today, when the tendency to divide on the basis of region, language, caste etc. has increased, Vande Mataram is the thread which can bind the society in the bond of unity. On this occasion, Regional Vice President Awadhesh Chandra Gupta, Regional Vice President Kamlesh Kumar Gautam, former Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, former Deputy Mayor Murari Lal Agarwal, and State BJP Mahila Morcha General Secretary Dr. Kritika Agarwal said that even today it is the strong foundation of the national consciousness and cultural identity of the society.
