Violence against healthcare professionals is criminal offence

 PRAYAGRAJ: A significant incidence of violence happened today at Nazareth Hospital, where a doctor on duty was violently assaulted inside his consulting room.

 Deepak Shukla, a Chandpur Salori resident, entered Chamber No. 2 forcibly around midday, joined by Shivam Agrahari, Vivek Agrahari, Himanshu Singh, and 4-5 others. Dr. R. P. Shukla was attending to patients.  Deepak Shukla abused the doctor, beating him and attempting to strangle him without warning.

 During the incident, both the patient and the on-duty nurse who attempted to intercede were attacked.  Recognizing the gravity of the incident, security personnel swiftly arrived on the scene, rescued the doctor, and stopped additional injury.  The injured doctor, patient, and nurse were sent to the emergency room for immediate medical attention.

Nazareth Hospital firmly condemns the cruel attack on medical professionals who were performing their job to care patients. The administration has stated that violence against healthcare professionals is a criminal act that will not be allowed.
