Prayagraj: At the book launch and discussion organized by Sahitya Bhandar at the Prayagraj Book Fair, the second edition of the critical book “Aalochana Ke Dayre” (Reflections on Criticism) by poet and critic Professor Prabhakar Singh (Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi) was released. Senior Professor Santosh Bhadoria presided over the event. Invited speaker Dr. Laxman Prasad Gupta provided an introductory description of “Aalochana Ke Dayre” and explained that the book is divided into three sections: the first, “Poets and Poetry,” the second, “Fiction and Non-Fiction,” and the third, “Criticism and Thought.” Regarding “Aalochana Ke Dayre” (Reflections on Criticism), he says, “In the changing environment of criticism, it will be interesting to examine this book in relation to the times, to see whether the critic confronts contemporary complexities.”

The next invited speaker, Dr. Amrita from Allahabad University, said, “Prof. Prabhakar Singh emphasizes the folk aspect of Indian languages ​​through poetry and criticism. When he talks about aesthetics, he talks about various dimensions of feminism as well as Indian feminist aesthetics. Prof. Prabhakar Singh appears close to Indian feminism.”

Critic Professor Prabhakar Singh explains his book and himself, “In this book, I have included critical articles based on historical writing. In his statement, he said, ‘I have taken two steps in poetry and one in criticism.'” He further adds, “Every critic has his own demands, and only then must heed these demands to enhance his personality.”

Professor Santosh Bhadauria, who presided over the program, said in his presidential address, “Prof. Prabhakar Singh possesses the aura and spirit of a critic. After Namvar Singh’s book, ‘Chhayavad,’ I commend this book.” Regarding the book, Professor Bhadauria said, “This will prove to be extremely valuable for any student or researcher who wishes to develop their literary understanding in a systematic manner.” He further added, “The critical discernment present in this book demonstrates the author’s keen sense of history.”

“This book is a blend of thought and compassion, which is evident throughout.” Dr. Amarjeet Ram successfully moderated the program. Dr. Shanti Chaudhary, Dr. Motilal, Dr. Anil Singh, Varsha Agarwal, and professors from Allahabad University were present. Students and researchers were also present.
