Prayagraj: Rotary Premier League (RPL) – Season 3 was successfully started at the Government Press Ground in Prayagraj, thanks to the kind hospitality of the Rotary Club of Allahabad East. The first day included excitement, competitive cricket, and a strong sense of friendship among Rotarians. This famous inter-club cricket event will include 12 Rotary clubs: RC Allahabad, RC Academia, RC North, RC South, RC East, RC Prayagraj, RC Platinum, RC Midtown, RC Sangam, RC Grand, RC Royals, and RC Elite. The ceremony was kicked off by the Chief Guest, Rotarian Poonam Gulati, District Governor Elect. She encouraged Rotarians to use sports to foster togetherness, leadership, and a healthy lifestyle, and she praised the host club for putting on such a colorful and well-organized event.
Match Summary First match: RC East/Academia against RC North. Result: RC East won by nine wickets. RC North: 73/5 in 10 overs; RC East Academia: 75/1 in 7.1 overs. Second match: RC Sangam against RC Elite South Result: RC Sangam won by 9 wickets. RC Elite South scored 41/8 in 8 overs, whereas RC Sangam made 42/1 in 4.1 overs. Third Match: RC Platinum vs. RC Allahabad. Result: RC Platinum won by ten wickets. RC Allahabad scored 38/4 in 8 overs. RC Platinum scored 39/1 in four overs. All of the matches were performed in the spirit of the game, and the competing teams had outstanding performances.
Rotarian Vaibhav Pahariya offered the vote of appreciation, recognizing everyone’s contributions to the successful inauguration. Rotarian Neogi Dada joyfully led the ceremonial flag march, which added dignity and energy to the ceremony. Rotarian Shruti Sharma handled the event effectively and confidently, keeping the audience interested throughout.
