Prayagraj: Under the guidance of District Chief Commissioner/District School Inspector Prayagraj P.N. Singh of Bharat Scouts and Guides Uttar Pradesh district Prayagraj, Chintan Diwas was celebrated at the camp office Kul Bhaskar Ashram Inter College Prayagraj. Assistant Regional Organization Commissioner Prayagraj Division Prayagraj Sundaram Shukla and District Secretary Dr. P.P. Singh inaugurated the program by garlanding Lord Baden Powell and Lady Olave Baden Powell. The program was conducted by District Secretary Dr. P.P. Singh and he said that this day is celebrated in the memory of the birthday of the founder of Scouting and Guiding, Lord Robert Baden Powell and his wife Lady Olave Baden Powell. Assistant Regional Organization Commissioner Prayagraj Division Prayagraj Sundaram Shukla was present on this occasion and he said that Scouting started in the world in 1907 AD and Scouting in India started in 1909 and Guiding started in 1911. In the program, Piyush Kumar Singh A.L.T. Scout Assistant District Secretary said that Chintan Diwas is being celebrated in 150 countries since 1926. Main reasons for celebrating Chintan Diwas Respecting the founders, developing leadership skills, international friendship and brotherhood. On this occasion, Meera Singh, District Organization Commissioner Guide, Surendra Pratap Singh, Joint Secretary and unit leaders of secondary, basic, CBSE schools Poonam Verma, Renu Gautam, Seema Bharti, Madhurima Gupta, Preeti Mishra, Ramesh, Om Prakash, Abhinav Yadavvanshi, Pushpanjali etc. were present.
