Prayagraj: Grandparents’ Day was celebrated with great warmth and exuberance at Girls’ High School & College on 21st February, 2026. The occasion unfolded as a beautiful tribute to the pillars of love and wisdom in every family — our beloved grandparents. The event served as a meaningful platform to honour their invaluable contribution in nurturing values, traditions, and life lessons that shape the character and future of young minds, while also fostering heartfelt intergenerational bonding within the school community.
The programme commenced with a gracious welcome address by the Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Eusebius, who eloquently highlighted the profound influence grandparents have in a child’s life. She emphasized that their unconditional love, timeless wisdom, and gentle guidance lay the foundation for a compassionate and morally strong generation.
The Pre-Primary Section curated a delightful cultural presentation that beautifully blended innocence, creativity, and talent. The young learners captivated the audience through expressive poem recitations, vibrant group dances, and an engaging skit titled “The Super Heroes.” Adorned in colourful costumes, the children performed with enthusiasm and charm, filling the atmosphere with joy and pride. The Nursery students touched every heart with their soulful poem recitations dedicated to their grandparents. Adding to the charm of the celebration, the UKG students staged a heartwarming skit portraying the unique and irreplaceable bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
Following the cultural segment, the grandparents were invited for a guided campus tour, offering them an opportunity to witness the vibrant learning environment and facilities that nurture their grandchildren’s growth and development. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by N. Vaish, who expressed sincere gratitude to the grandparents for their unwavering support, blessings, and continued partnership with the school. Grandparents’ Day 2026 was a memorable celebration that reaffirmed the timeless values of love, respect and family unity.
