A symposium on the topic of “women” was organized on Tuesday in a hotel complex under the auspices of the Poonam Sant Women and Development Committee. A large number of women were present on the occasion. The women who attended were honored.

Chief guest, Mrs. Kamlavati Singh, Chairperson of the Women’s Welfare Corporation of the Uttar Pradesh Government, said that a woman not only strengthens a family but also empowers the family she marries into. Furthermore, if she receives the right environment, she can show the entire society a bright path and strengthen the nation. It is said that a woman’s education means the entire society is educated. A daughter manages household chores and fulfills her external responsibilities with full dedication. No matter how adverse the circumstances, she never abandons her parents, brothers, or nephews. Our religious text, Manu Smriti, also states, “Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devataah,” meaning, “Where women are worshipped, gods reside there.” It is also commonly said in our society that a home without a daughter feels desolate.

Former Income Tax Commissioner Shikha Darbari said, “Yatraitastu na pujyante sarvaastatraphalah kriyah,” meaning, “Where women are not respected, all work becomes fruitless.” Daughters should also study well, acquire knowledge, and contribute to the progress of their families, society, and nation. They constitute half the population of any country, so their contribution is crucial.

Poonam Sant, National President of the Women and Development Committee, said that today a woman is not just a daughter, mother, or wife; she is the backbone of society. Today’s women are achieving success everywhere, from space to the sports field, and from the home to the business world. This day is an opportunity to honor women’s achievements in social, economic, and political spheres. Dr. Sabita Agarwal said that it serves as a global platform to further strengthen support for women’s rights and their equal participation across the world.

Gayatri Triveni Prayagraj Peethadheeshwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Trikal Bhavanta Saraswati Ji Maharaj said that when we contribute to the dreams and success of women, its benefits don’t stop at just one person. It ripples and touches the entire society, empowering our communities and creating a society that is for everyone and can face every difficulty boldly.
