Prayagraj: The closing ceremony of the seven-day special camp of National Service Scheme Unit 055, organized from March 10 to 16 at Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya (RTMM), a constituent of Allahabad University, concluded on Monday. The closing ceremony began with the lighting of lamps and Saraswati Vandana. Mayuri performed a dance performance based on Ganesh Stuti. Vaishnavi, Meenakshi, Lakshmi, Soumya, and Anu then presented a captivating folk song, “Hamara Seema Ke Jawanwa.”
Volunteers presented a street play based on the camp’s theme, “Digital India and Mobile Usage, Safety, and Awareness.” Supriya, Swati, Saloni, and Shreya performed a group dance performance based on a patriotic song. During the ceremony, Program Officer Dr. Priyanka Sharma presented a detailed report of the seven-day program via a PPT. Subsequently, Prof. Neelima Singh and Prof. Namita Yadav presented certificates to the winning volunteers in various sports and cultural competitions. The stage was moderated by volunteers Shruti, Ojasvi, and Muskan. Medals and certificates were presented to four group leaders in the special camp: Khushi Yadav, Meenu Nishad, Saloni Tiwari, and Swati Sonia. The Best Volunteer Award and medal of the camp went to Shruti Mishra, and the certificate for Best Performance went to Deepanjali Sahu.
Presenting the vote of thanks at the end of the program, Prof. Neelima Singh urged all volunteers to absorb the training, skills, and knowledge of community gained during the seven days to develop their personalities and contribute to society. The program was organized under the patronage of the college’s Principal, Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare, and the guidance of Professor Rajesh Garg, Coordinator of the National Service Scheme, Allahabad University. Prof. Namita Yadav, Dr. Yashasvi Singh, Dr. Varsha Agarwal, Dr. Ashwani Kumar Rai, Dr. Shaiminaz Bano, Dr. Anil Kumar, Dr. Yashasvi Pandey, Dr. Anshu Tripathi, Dr. Abhishek Tiwari, Naveen Pathak and all the volunteers were present in the program.
