Story of Rama provides elixir of life: Dr. Aniruddha Maharaj
Prayagraj: On the second day of the ongoing Navratri festival at Maa Kalyani Devi Temple Dham, on Friday at 5 am, Maa Kalyani’s General Secretary Shyam Ji Pathak performed Mangala Aarti as per the rituals. After that, a large number of devotees who had come from far and wide to the temple premises participated in the Shat Chandi Maha Yagya and after performing puja and havan, circumambulated the Yagyashala and got their children’s ears pierced and tonsured. After that, from 6 pm to 12 midnight, people got the darshan of Maa Kalyani Devi in her Brahmacharini form and chanted her praises on this occasion.
Pandit Sushil Kumar Pathak, President of Maa Kalyani Devi Mandir Dham, conducted the Maha Aarti of Maa at 7 pm and at 12:30 pm. At 10 o’clock, the sleeping aarti was performed and he informed that on the third day of Navratri, Saturday, Maa Kalyani will be adorned in the form of Chandraghanta, in which Maa will be mounted on a lion and will have ten arms and will hold weapons and a moon-shaped bell in all her hands, will be adorned with studded jewellery and jasmine and rose flowers. The sanctum sanctorum will be decorated with marigold and tuberose flowers.
On this occasion, while narrating the story on the second day of Shri Ram Katha being organised by Shri Navsamvatsar Manas Samiti under Maa Kalyani Devi Temple, the narrator Dr Aniruddha Ji Maharaj said that man gets the elixir of life from Ram Katha. He further described the dialogue between Angad and Ravana and said that the one who has faith and belief in his deity is always victorious and this is the reason why Angad stood fearlessly in Ravana’s court and by the grace of Shri Ram even the biggest demons and night creatures could not lift his leg.
The Katha was conducted by spokesperson Pandit Omkarnath Tripathi. On this occasion, committee president and former MLA Pandit Uday Bhan Karawaria, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, Pandit Anil Pathak, Krishna Kumar Pathak, General Secretary Subodh Khanna, Babu Tripathi, Rajesh Kesarwani performed Aarti along with thousands of devotees and listened to the story.
