Prayagraj: A grand and emotionally captivating staging of the musical drama ‘Rasraj Phalgu’  was presented today at 3:00 PM at the North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC), Prayagraj by Swarg Rangmandal. The programme was organized with the active support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and was directed by eminent folk art director Atul Yadvanshi.

The Chief Guest of the programme was Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Phulpur (Prayagraj), Shri Praveen Patel, and the event was presided over by renowned International Art & Culture Promoter Shri Rakesh Shukla.

“Rasraj Phalgun” was a visually enchanting and emotionally rich presentation based on Braj culture, the divine love of Radha and Krishna, and the festive spirit of the Phalgun season. Beginning with a devotional invocation, the programme unfolded through vibrant depictions of Braj Holi, the colours of spring, the playful and divine leelas of Radha-Krishna, and a series of traditional folk songs that transported the audience into the soulful ambiance of Braj. The entire performance evoked deep emotions and left the audience spellbound.

Soni Kumar Gupta as Nat and Bhanu Tripathi as Nati captivated the audience with their expressive acting, dialogue delivery, and gestures. Sonali Chakraborty as Radha and Shubhangi Kumari as Krishna delivered outstanding performances. Suhani Kumari, Simran Kumari, and Sargam Lata as Gopis, along with Sandeep Kumari and Ankit Prajapati as Gwal, also gave impactful performances.

The musical renditions were performed by Shilpi Yadvanshi, Shivani Kashyap, Anannya Mohiley, Vaishnavi Keshri, Preksha Deshpande, Vanshika Kaushal, Sachin Kesarvani, Aryan Mohiley, Krishna Kumar Maurya, Basant Lal Tyagi, Dheeraj Agrawal, and Neeraj Agrawal. Music composition was by Pranesh Deshpande, Dilip Kumar Gulshan, Nagina, and Rajendra Kumar. Stage design and properties were managed by Sarthak Saraswat, costumes by Shilpi Yadvanshi, makeup by Mohammad Hameed, and lighting design by Sujoy Ghoshal.

The audience highly appreciated the performances, music, and choreography throughout the programme. The auditorium echoed with applause, and many described the presentation as a vivid portrayal of Braj culture.

Chief Guest Shri Praveen Patel praised Swarg Rangmandal for its efforts and appreciated director Atul Yadvanshi for his dedication towards preserving traditional folk arts. President Shri Rakesh Shukla emphasized the importance of such programmes in safeguarding India’s rich cultural heritage and remarked that “folk arts are the true identity of our nation; their preservation is essential for sustaining our culture.” The programme was also graced by the presence of several distinguished special guests including Shri Sudesh Sharma, Director  – NCZCC’ C. R. Yadav – eminent educationist and social worker, Rajesh Yadav – entrepreneur and social worker, Shiv Sagar Shukla – eminent folk art practitioner, Manoj Kumar – Assistant Registrar Societies & Firms, Manoj Kushwaha – social worker and activist, Aprajita Singh – District Tourism Officer, Dr. S. C. Gupta – eminent ENT specialist and litterateur, Meenakshi Sharma – Principal, Bal Mitra School, Archana Gupta – Principal, Mother’s Public School, Sushil Kumar Saroj – senior officer, GAIL India Limited, Anshu Verma – eminent fashion designer and art and culture promoter.

In the end, Atul Yadvanshi expressed his gratitude to all guests, artists, and the audience, reiterating that the aim of Swarg Rangmandal is to connect the younger generation with India’s rich cultural roots.
