Heavy traffic and congestion at the Mungari toll plaza: Due to the densely populated area between Prayagraj and Mirzapur, this route is subject to heavy traffic. Additionally, a large number of pilgrims traveling to the famous pilgrimage site of Vindhyachal use this route. He specifically mentioned the Mungari toll plaza, stating that long queues of vehicles often cause traffic jams, causing significant inconvenience to travelers. Citing delays in expressway construction, he said that the planned Greenfield Access-Controlled Expressway between Chitrakoot-Prayagraj-Varanasi could take at least five years to complete. Until then, widening the existing highway is essential to provide relief to the public.
MP representative Vinay Kushwaha said that the Union Road Transport Minister took a positive stance on the MP’s proposal and said that not 6 lanes but for immediate relief, he immediately ordered for four lanes and ordered that the Mirzapur road from Naini to Mirzapur should be made four lane, the DPR of which should be prepared and presented in three months, in which the MP’s opinion should also be taken.
