Wives and children of railway employees to also protest against NPS nationwide
Prayagraj: In protest against the New Pension Scheme (NPS), the Indian Railway Employees Federation (IREF) has decided to observe a black day on April 1 in all zones and production units of the Indian Railways. Giving this information, General Secretary of the Indian Railway Employees Federation, Manoj Pandey said that the core committee of the federation has decided to observe a black day on April 1 after discussing with the National President of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS), Vijay Kumar Bandhu, in a virtual meeting chaired by the National President of Indian Railway Employees Federation, Nar Singh Kumar. The railway employees will celebrate the black day by tying a black ribbon at their respective workplaces and registering their protest by raising slogans like NPS/UPS go back, restore old pension, privatization quit India. The wives and children of the railway employees will also register their protest by raising the slogan of NPS/UPS go back, restore old pension.
Comrade Manoj Pandey, General Secretary of Indian Railway Employees Federation and North Central Railway Workers Union said that old pension is the support of the employees in their old age, it is the basis of their bright future, it is our right, we will get it no matter to what extent we have to go for it. Comrade said that under the leadership of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS), Indian Railway Employees Federation (IREF) and Front Against NPS in Railways (FANPSR), all the employees of the country are together demanding old pension and are now ready to launch a united nationwide movement. Comrade Nar Singh Kumar, Comrade Manoj Pandey, Comrade Rajendra Prasad Pal, Comrade Kamal Usri, Comrade Pushpendra Tripathi, Comrade Sandeep Tiwari, Comrade Ramesh Singh, Comrade Sanjay Tiwari, Comrade Neelam Pandey, Comrade Sudha Devi etc. expressed their views in the virtual meeting of the core committee of the federation.
