Bharat Singh Yadav elected unopposed as president for 14th time
Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh PWD Regular Work Charge Employees Union’s biennial provincial convention and election program concluded at the Vishvesvaraya Auditorium in Lucknow. Bharat Singh Yadav was elected unopposed as the organization’s provincial president for the 14th consecutive time, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the workers.
Meanwhile, Vashishtha Tiwari was elected for the first time to the post of Provincial General Secretary. Outgoing General Secretary Shailendra Kumar Shukla was given the responsibility of Provincial Patron. Karunesh Pratap Singh, President of Pratapgarh District from Prayagraj region, was elected unopposed to the post of Provincial Vice President.
On this occasion, Prayagraj division president Ravi Shankar Mishra, division minister Dharamraj Yadav, Manoj Kumar Saini (district president Fatehpur), Phoolchand Yadav (district president Prayagraj), Ram Singh (district president Kaushambi), Ram Achal Pal (district minister Prayagraj), Pramod Mishra (Pratapgarh), Beni Prasad Maurya (Kaushambi) and division treasurer Rampratap Yadav along with other officials congratulated and wished the newly elected officials by garlanding them with a grand 51 kg garland.
Addressing the program, Provincial President Bharat Singh Yadav said that forming a united front at the provincial level is the need of the hour to address the problems of state employees. He called on all organizations to unite and launch a major movement, like those of 1986, 1996, and 2011, to restore the old pension system and fill vacant positions.
He said that employees are the backbone of the country’s development, but today they are victims of neglect and are struggling for their rights.
