Prayagraj: As part of Rotary’s Water, Sanitation, and Health Awareness Month, Rotary Platinum performed a commendable service. The club successfully renovated a dilapidated and poorly maintained toilet at a girls’ orphanage, which had been a serious concern for sanitation and hygiene for several months. The project was completed in just 10 days. Following the renovation, the toilet is now a clean, safe, and fully usable facility, providing improved hygiene and facilities to the girls and female staff living at the orphanage.

This important service was led and sponsored by senior Rotarian CA Sanjay Talwar, who exemplifies Rotary’s spirit of service and dedication to society. Rotarian Ashok Kumar was also present on the occasion. This work, undertaken in the interest of girls, in keeping with the sacred festival of Navratri, is especially inspiring and commendable.

Club President Dr. Pratik Pandey said, “Rotary’s mission is not only to serve, but also to provide a respectable and healthy life to every segment of society. This initiative is an important step towards ensuring the health, hygiene, and dignity of girls. We are committed to bringing positive change to society through such service activities in the future.”

Manish Garg, media in-charge of the club, said, “This project is a powerful example of Rotary’s core principle of ‘Service First.’ Basic amenities like sanitation and health are essential for social development. Rotary Platinum will continue to support such public welfare initiatives.” This effort is an inspiring initiative towards ensuring better sanitation, health, and dignity for girls.
