Allegation of attempted rape, many people including husband have been named

Prayagraj: A married woman in the Civil Lines area has filed an FIR, leveling serious allegations against her husband, Ashish Kanaujia, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and in-laws. The victim alleges that she was forced into an incestuous relationship, beaten when she resisted, and blackmailed by making obscene videos.

In the complaint given to the police, the victim told that she is a health worker. She was married to Ashish Kanojia on 29 February 2024. Lakhs of rupees were spent by her maternal side on the marriage. It is alleged that soon after the marriage, the behavior of the in-laws changed and she was pressurized to have relations with her father-in-law and brother-in-law. She was beaten up if she protested. The victim also alleges that one day at her in-laws’ house in Mumfordganj, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law caught her, after which her father-in-law and brother-in-law tried to rape her forcibly. Her maternal uncle-in-law Munna is also accused. Somehow she managed to save herself and came out.

After this, her husband made an obscene video of her changing clothes and began pressuring her by threatening to make it viral. It is alleged that her husband also forced her into unnatural sex. It is alleged that on April 2nd, while she was at the office, she noticed some people were moving household items while watching the house on her mobile phone. Upon arriving home, she saw people from her in-laws’ family loading furniture, televisions, glasses, washing machines, and jewelry worth lakhs into a vehicle. When she protested, she is alleged to have her mobile phone snatched, her child was taken away, and she was dragged and beaten. There was even an attempt to strangle her. The victim claims that several people were present at the scene, all of whom had their faces covered. After the incident, she was taken out of the house and locked. She reported the incident to Dial 112, but she alleges that the police, even after arriving at the scene, took no concrete action. The victim has filed a complaint with the Civil Lines police and is investigating the matter.
