Prayagraj: On the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, the author of the national anthem of India, world-renowned poet, great philosopher and Nobel Prize winner, State Co-ordinator of Bharatiya Janata Party NGO Cell, Rajnikanth, while paying his respectful homage to him, said that Gurudev’s literature, national thinking and cultural consciousness are still working to give a new direction to the country. He said that if any song in India’s independence saga ignited the flame of freedom within every person, it was “Vande Mataram.” Composed by the great literary figure Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, this song is not just a collection of words, but an immortal symbol of devotion, pride, and sacrifice for the motherland.
Shrivastava said that the work undertaken by the central government under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership to restore Indian heritage, national symbols, and the values associated with the freedom struggle has given new strength to nationalism and cultural consciousness. He said that the Modi government’s efforts have created a positive environment towards giving “Vande Mataram” the same respect as the national anthem, which will further strengthen the nation’s spirit and national pride.
He specifically mentioned the historic land of West Bengal, where the echo of “Vande Mataram” first arose and which energized the freedom movement. This is the same land where revolutionaries, using “Vande Mataram” as their slogan, took the struggle against British rule to new heights. Rajnikanth Srivastava said that “Vande Mataram” is not a symbol of any one party, ideology, or region, but rather the soul of the entire nation. It is the duty of every Indian to respect it. This national anthem is a powerful medium to connect the youth with their roots, culture, and the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
Finally, he said that when the voice of “Vande Mataram” resonates, the heart of every Indian is filled with patriotism and pride. It is not just a song, but the voice of the soul of India, which inspires us to move forward on the path of unity, integrity, and patriotism. Vande Mataram!
