Prayagraj: Scammers are emboldened in the Sangam city. The latest incident occurred outside Rambagh Railway Station, where a passenger was robbed while being transported in an auto-rickshaw. According to reports, passenger Naseem boarded an auto-rickshaw from Rambagh Railway Station to his destination. On the way, a pickpocket already present in the auto-rickshaw duped Naseem of ₹2,100. Upon learning of the theft, the passenger became extremely distraught and immediately reported the matter to the GRP.

Based on the victim’s complaint, the GRP police have taken the matter seriously. They have begun examining CCTV footage from the station and along the suspected route. During the investigation, the police have obtained a photograph of the suspect autorickshaw in which the passenger boarded.
