Prayagraj: Under the leadership of Congress Party’s Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed, a strong protest was held in the Phulpur Tehsil courtyard in which hundreds of people were present and a student returning from coaching in Mahoba district was kidnapped and held hostage for 16 days and then continuously raped and shamed humanity. Like burning her body with cigarette and carrying out other humane incidents and later doing acts like marriage under pressure is shocking to the inhuman sensibilities. In protest against this, a memorandum was submitted to His Excellency the Governor through the Deputy District Magistrate, Phulpur, demanding immediate action against the criminals roaming around without fear and a demand to send them to jail immediatelyIn his address, Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed said that the BJP government has become autocratic and sensitive. The Congress party will not tolerate this kind of inhuman act done to the Dalit student. If the government does not take any concrete steps for this, the Congress workers will express their anger through Jail Bharo movement. The present corrupt BJP government works to create anarchy and hooliganism by diverting attention from the prices of petrol and diesel gas which have been increased four times in a week. District Vice President Nisha Singh said that it is condemnable that Dalits and weak people are raped every day. The officials and leaders of the BJP government have also become senseless and uncontrolled.
