State champions emerged, chess competition held at Rani Revati Devi

Prayagraj: The district level rapid chess competition organized by the District Chess Association Prayagraj at Rani Revati Devi Saraswati Vidya Niketan Rajapur concluded with great pomp. Around 75 boys and girls players from the under-9 to under-15 age group and open category displayed their talent in seven rounds. After tough competitions, 22 players won first, second and third place awards for the state level chess competition. Mohammad Ismail Siddiqui became the tournament champion.

At the closing and prize distribution ceremony, chief guest Dr. Sushil Sinha, president of the former Kayastha Pathshala Trust and social activist, honored the winners with shields, medals, and certificates. In his address, he said that children between the ages of 9 and 15 and the open category have enhanced Prayagraj’s fame with their talent. He is proud that 22 players from the district have received honors in the district-level competition. Sports develop children’s concentration and mental strength, and enhance their thinking abilities. Social worker Avichal Dwivedi, who chaired the program, said that Prayagraj is now progressing in the sports world. The players have set new standards. The program was conducted by General Secretary N.D. Singh and Dinesh Tiwari. Under 9 Girls: Takshavi Srivastava (first), Aarohi Agarwal (second). Under 11 Girls: Aarohi Ashwin Raj (first), Anupriya Yadav (second), and Riddisha Raj (third). Under 11 Girls: Aarohi Ashwin Raj (first), Anupriya Yadav (second), and Riddisha Raj (third).

Boys – Satvik Anand first, Hasir Siddiqui second, Rudran Saha third. Under 15 years – Girls – Ahana Gopal first, Vandita Srivastava, Sanvi Baghel got second and third. Under 15 years – Boys – Kartikeya Srivastava first, Ojas Anand second and Hridayan Shukla third. In the open category, women – Priya Yadav first, Shrivalli Srivastava second, Koshika Chaturvedi third and in the open category, men – Mohammad Ismail Siddiqui first, Yakub Hussain second, Yuvraj Jaiswal third, Satvik Srivastava, Sarvagya Tripathi became the best in the competition.

Program Secretary Shriram Dwivedi, social worker Avichal Dwivedi, journalist Dinesh Tiwari, sports coach Vimal Dubey, Gaurav Garg, S.S. Yadav, Harshit Srivastava, Shikha Srivastava, Shweta Srivastava, Navjeet Saha, Pankaj Pandey, and Neha Kesarwani were present on the occasion and all contributed to the success of the competition. Organizing District Chess Association Prayagraj expressed gratitude to all the guests and players.
