Cong raises concern to save Nicobar via protest & signature campaign

Prayagraj: Congressmen launched a massive struggle in the Soraon Tehsil to save the forests of Great Nicobar and to overthrow the dictatorial policies of the Central Government. The brave soldiers of Congress roared by running a huge signature campaign in the tehsil premises. During this period, the enthusiasm and anger of the workers appeared to be at its peak. District Gangapar President Ashfaq Ahmed, who is commanding the movement, roared, “To save Great Nicobar, every brave soldier of the Congress has now taken to the streets wearing a shroud! The Modi government is bent on killing lakhs of trees indiscriminately in the name of development. This playing with nature is dangerous for the entire humanity, which Congress will not tolerate at any cost! Ahmed challenged the government and said that brutality is being meted out to the students who raise their voice for the rights of the poor and the oppressed in the country. This oppression has received the direct blessings of the rulers in power.

He thundered, “The police administration has become completely autocratic and unbridled. Inflation is at its peak, due to which the public is suffocating. But now the public will not sit silent! During this, the entire Soraon tehsil courtyard echoed with the slogans of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ and ‘Stop the destruction of nature’. Hundreds of common citizens and youth also came and gave their open support to this war of Congress by signing the papers. The program was conducted by District General Secretary Sunil Pandey. On this occasion, Assembly in-charge Nisha Singh, Manju Maurya, Sufia Bano, Ashish Pandey, Dr.Amar Singh Patel, Block President Ritesh Pasi, Chandrabali Chaudhary, Panchu Pasi, Vinod Tiwari, Mohd. Farooq, Dr. Ghanshyam Patel, Dinesh Yadav, Pradeep Chaudhary, Ramakant Maurya, Ramesh Maurya, Dr.Senior Kumar Kushwaha, Anil Kumar, Geeta Devi, Sitara Devi, Kusum Devi, Ramchandra, Rajeshwari Patel, Anil Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Dilip Srivastava, Raju Kumar, Umapati Dwivedi, Shyamji Dhuria, Piyush Kapoor, Kartikeya Pandey etc. were present.
