Prayagraj: A national symposium on “Hindutva: Philosophy, Vision, and Thought” was organized on Sunday under the joint aegis of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Institute, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj, and the Ganganath Jha Campus of the Central Sanskrit University, Prayagraj. The program began with the lighting of a lamp. Chief guest Professor Srinivas Varkhedi, Vice Chancellor of the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, stated that Hindutva is not merely a political ideology, but an eternal life vision based on the principles of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (One Family is One Family) and “Ekam Sat Vipra Bahudha Vadanti.” It is a global philosophy of seeing the divine in every particle, living cultural nationalism, and accepting diversity. Keynote speaker Gunwant Singh Kothari, National Convener of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Institute, stated that “Hindutva: Philosophy, Vision, and Thought” is a profound and comprehensive topic, one that is constantly being debated. It is not merely a narrow religious or orthodox ritual, but a vast idea deeply rooted in the socio-cultural and spiritual fabric of India.

Shri Mahant Yamunapuri Ji Maharaj, patron of Mahanirvani Akhara Daraganj, said that the ideology of Hindutva is not against anyone. Hatred and opposition towards anyone is not Hindutva; rather, love, trust, and intimacy towards everyone is Hindutva. We work for the country. Hindutva is not a ritual; it is a philosophy based on spirituality and truth.

Somkant Sharma, a member of the central team of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Institute, said that Hinduism does not simply mean being weak. Hindus must become powerful. The Mahabharata war was fought to establish religion. Lord Buddha preached complete compassion and non-violence, and Lord Rama and Lord Krishna also served all religions. Therefore, every family must work based on positive thinking. Former Vice Chancellor of BHU and President of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Institute of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Prof. Girish Chandra Tripathi, presiding over the meeting, said that Sanatan Dharma is Hinduism. He said that for us, India is an adjective. Considering the spiritual basis, the ideology on which our ancestors built India is Hinduism. The program was held in two sessions. The first session took place at the Ganganath Jha Campus of the Central Sanskrit University, where guests shared their views on Hinduism. Present on the occasion were senior preachers Amarnath, Dr. Sushil Sinha, Major General Dharmaraj Rai, Dr. Pramod Shukla, Vandana Tiwari, Kshama Mishra, Durgesh Dubey, Prof. Rajaram Yadav, Dr. Awadhesh Chandra Srivastava, Nagendra Jaiswal, Maheshwar Mishra, Natwar Lal Bharatiya, Manish Dwivedi, Arun Dubey, Bhola Tiwari, Yash Vikram Tripathi, Sanjay Shukla, etc. The program concluded with the national anthem.
