Where is our poor house and where is Hussain: Ronaq Safipuri

Prayagraj: Leaving Medina on the second of Muharram, Imam Hussain along with his companions and followers reached Karbala to set up tents. On the second of Muharram, the gatherings continued in various areas. The scholars mentioned in their statement that when the grandson of the Prophet, Imam Hussain reached Karbala, he first bought the land which was earlier called Nainwan, which is today known as Karbala of Iraq, where people from all over the world go in lakhs to visit the sacred Roza-e-Aqdas.

Maulana Zameer Haider addressed the gathering at Imambara Deputy Zahid Hussain located at Chak Zero Road and narrated the story of all the atrocities inflicted by the Yazidi army on the family of the Prophet along with keeping a water guard. Maulana Amirur Rizvi addressed the second gathering of Ashara at Imambara Nazir Hussain Bakshi Bazaar, while Zakire Ahl-e-Bait Raza Abbas Zaidi addressed the gathering at Imambara Syed Mian located at Ghantaghar. Raza Ismail Safavi and companions recited Marsiya. At the same time, Abbas Zaki Pasban recited the mournful Marsiya at Azakhana Fateh Zahra in Barntala of Shahganj, while Zakire Ahl-e-Bait Akhtar Hasan Najafi Sahib Qibla recited the mournful remembrance of the seventy-two martyrs of Karbala, and every eye became moist. Mirza located at Bakshi Bazaar A majlis was organised on the second of Muharram at the Azakhana of Azad Hussain. Maulana addressed the majlis and the nauhakhwaans of Anjuman Guncha-e-Qasimiya Bakshi Bazaar recited Purdard Nauha written by Shabih Fatima Javwadi. Shaheer Ralvi addressed the majlis held at Hasan Naqvi’s Azakhana in Dariyabad and gave a sad statement. Maulana Ashraf Abbas addressed the annual majlis at the Imambara located at Bada Ghar in Dariyabad and Anjuman Hussainia Qandiya recited Purdard Nauha.

Ten-day long Ashara majlis is being held in the Imambara of the Ghadar era under the supervision of the seventh generation: Imambara Abul Hasan Khan located in Dariyabad Pathanvalli is two hundred and fifty years old and has silver claws. It is currently looked after by Mashhad Ali Khan of the seventh generation of this Imambara. According to Syed Mohammad Askari, General Secretary of the Ummul Baneen Society, this Imambara was built by Akbar Ali Khan, approximately two hundred and fifty years before 1857. After that, Gulzar Ali Khan, the late Mashhad Ali Khan, Shujaat Hussain Khan, Abul Hasan Khan, and Sardar Hussain Khan took over. Now, Sardar Hussain Khan’s son, Mashhad Ali Khan, organizes a men’s gathering at this Imambara for twenty consecutive days, starting on the first of Muharram. A women’s gathering is also held daily from the first of Muharram until the Chehlum of Imam Hussain. A large gathering is held at this Imambara late at night on the fifth of Muharram, in which a replica of Zuljanah is taken out, and the Anjuman Hashimiya Dariyabad also mourns with chains equipped with sharp knives. Due to this ancient gathering, devotees from the city as well as from faraway places gather. Mashhad Ali says that in this special gathering which is going on since Ghadar, people come in large numbers to express their wishes along with visiting Zuljanah. In all the processions and gatherings, President of Hasni Hussaini Foundation Wazir Khan, Israr Niazi Shahid Khan, Aman Niazi, Chand Miyan remain present to offer the offering of tears while expressing grief.

Remembering the thirst of the martyrs of Karbala, a fountain of cold water and sherbet was set up at the police station: Along with the atrocities and oppression of the Yazidi army on the family of the Prophet on the land of Karbala, water was also banned. The Yazidi army put a guard on the family of the Prophet along with forcing them to uproot the tents from the canal Euphrates. Six-month-old Ali Asghar was not given water either. The family of the Prophet was martyred after being hungry and thirsty for three days. In his memory, a fountain of cold water and sherbet is being operated for ten days continuously by Shahrukh Qazi and the believers near Chowk police station. Where many people along with the passersby are getting drunk and are shedding tears after realizing the intensity of the thirst of the thirsty Hussain.
