Prayagraj: Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnav will flag off the Jaipur (Khatipura) – Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express new train service (six days a week) from Jaipur on 21st June 2026. The Jaipur (Khatipura)-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express is an important rail service that will provide new impetus to connectivity between Rajasthan and Bihar. This train will provide passengers with a safe, convenient, and comfortable travel option. Passengers traveling for employment, education, business, and family reasons will especially benefit from this rail service. Currently, a weekly train service operates from Ajmer to Darbhanga. This new rail service (six days a week) will benefit passengers.
Jaipur is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, tourist destinations, and industrial development, while Darbhanga is a major center of Mithila culture, education, and historical significance. This rail service will facilitate travel between the two regions, promoting cultural exchange and economic activity.
The new train will stop at Dausa, Bandikui, Mandawar Mahuva Road, Bharatpur, Idgah, Agra, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur Central, Unao, Aishbagh, Gomtinagar, Barabanki, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Sikta, Raxaul, Bairgania, Sitamarhi, Janakpur Road and Kamtaul stations, which will provide special benefits to the residents of the surrounding areas. It is worth mentioning here that the primary maintenance of Jaipur (Khatipura)-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express will be done at the newly constructed Coach Care Complex, Khatipura, Phase-2.
To improve maintenance facilities, a Coach Care Complex has been constructed at Khatipura station at a cost of Rs. 205 crore. The Coach Care Complex will allow for one-stop maintenance for all train types, including Vande Bharat, DEMU, LHB, and other train rakes.
With the incorporation of state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, Khatipura Coach Care Complex Railway Maintenance will ensure better quality, greater safety and the ability to maintain more rakes in less time, paving the way for operation of more trains in the region in future. As is known, the Bikaner-Ahmedabad new train service (daily) will also be flagged off by Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav on the morning of 21st June 2026.
