Prayagraj: Poonam Sant Mahila Evam Vikas Samiti organized a grand and successful Sakhi Sammelan at Hotel Celestial Inn, Georgetown, Prayagraj. The program was presided over by the organization’s national president, respected Mrs. Poonam Sant. Former MP, Honorable Mrs. Kesari Devi Patel, was present as the chief guest. Ms. Priyanka Singh (Director, Jag Shikshan Sansthan) and Professor Tripti Singh graced the event as special guests. Scheduled guest Ms. Payal Johri could not attend the program due to unavoidable reasons.
Program coordinator and Uttar Pradesh State President Dr. Sneh Sudha ji, while welcoming and congratulating all the guests, officials and women power, said that this conference is an important effort towards connecting women on one platform, making them self-reliant, aware and empowered and the organization is continuously working for the upliftment of women from every section of the society.
In a special lecture session held at the conference, eminent speakers expressed their views on various contemporary topics. Dr. Vineeta Vishwakarma provided detailed information on “Adolescent and Women’s Health: Challenges, Awareness, and Solutions,” urging women to remain vigilant about their health. Prof. Kalpana Verma delivered an inspiring address on “Women’s Power, Self-Reliance, and the Key to Success in Life,” motivating women to move forward on the path of self-confidence and independence. Advocate Anju Srivastava provided valuable information on “Domestic Violence, Cybercrime, and Women’s Safety Law,” raising awareness among women about their constitutional and legal rights. The program was successfully conducted by the organization’s Mrs. Ranjana Tripathi.

On this occasion, women who made outstanding contributions in the fields of education, culture, yoga, medicine, journalism, administration, art, social work, spirituality, entrepreneurship and sports were honoured by the organization.
A special highlight of the program was that all the Sakhis associated with the organization were presented with various useful household items. These included refrigerators, televisions, microwaves, mixer grinders, irons, sewing machines, electric kettles, trolley bags, and pudding sets, among many other attractive gifts. Upon receiving the gifts, all the Sakhis expressed their joy and gratitude to the organization and National President Poonam Sant.
In her presidential address, the respected Mrs. Poonam Sant said that the organization’s objective is not only to provide a platform for women, but also to empower them to be self-reliant, aware, and empowered. The organization is continuously working to uplift women and daughters through campaigns like Mission Durga, Sakhi Jodo Abhiyan, and Beti Hai To Kal Hai. She stated that the progress of women is the foundation for the progress of society and the nation, and that positive change in society is only possible through the active participation of women.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all the guests and women present. The conference sent an inspiring message of women’s unity, empowerment, and social harmony to society.
