Prayagraj: “Champions are made from something they have deep inside them—a desire, a dream, a vision.” With immense fervour and exhilaration, Girls’ High & School hosted its Annual Inter-House Swimming Competition on Tuesday at the school aquatic arena.
The programme commenced on a spiritual note with the Lord’s Prayer, seeking divine blessings for a successful and memorable event. Our revered Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Eusebius, formally declared the Swimming Meet open. In her address, she extended her best wishes to all the houses and encouraged the young swimmers to give their best, uphold the spirit of healthy competition and display true sportsmanship.
The competition featured a series of thrilling events, including Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly and Medley Relay. The participants displayed remarkable agility, endurance and true sportsmanship. The entire arena reverberated with thunderous applause and cheers, boosting the morale of the swimmers.
The nail-biting races kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The highlight of the day was the breathtaking Swim Past presented by the students, which left the spectators spellbound. The much-awaited event culminated in the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The victors were felicitated with trophies and certificates. The Principal applauded the efforts of all the participants and commended them for their dedication, discipline and sporting spirit.
