Prayagraj: Under the aegis of Sulem Sarai Dadhikando Mela Committee, the crowns of Lord Krishna and Balram were worshipped with Vedic chanting in the temple premises by Thakur on Wednesday. Fair chief Narendra Kheda stated that the crown worship ceremony was performed in accordance with centuries-old religious tradition. Devotees expressed their hope for a grand and smooth completion of the Dadhikando Fair, which will be held as part of the Chhathi festival on Sunday, September 13th.
Following the puja, a procession of the crown was taken out under the leadership of Mela President Piyush Kesarwani. The procession began at Thakur Dwara Temple, passed through Sankat Mochan Temple, and ended back at Thakur Dwara. Chants of “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki” and “Haathi Ghoda Palki” echoed throughout. Devotees were distributed the grand offerings of curry rice and boondi on the occasion of Lord Krishna-Balarao Chhathi festival.
