Prayagraj: The City Congress Committee members expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Beena Khatri (74), wife of former U P Congress Committee president and former MP, Nirmal Khatri. A condolence meeting of party workers held at the party office in Chowk with City Congress chief Fuzail Hashmi on chair.  During the meeting, party leaders paid tributes to Beena Khatri and appreciated her role of religious and social activities connected with public.

She passed away at Max Hospital in Lucknow after a prolonged illness of cancer. The Congress workers observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the peace to the departed soul.
