Prayagraj: Santosh Kumar Mishra, the newly elected General Secretary of the Allahabad High Court Bar, made several bold promises at a press conference after his victory, stating that the interests of the lawyers were paramount. “I am confident in fulfilling all the promises I made to the lawyers during the elections. The interests of the lawyers are my top priority,” he said. General Secretary Santosh Kumar Mishra stated that, considering the health of advocates, his priority would be to establish separate counters in hospitals such as SRN, Bailey, and Calvin. He would also continuously strive to issue special health cards for cashless treatment for advocates and their families. He would engage with the relevant departments and hospital management to achieve this.
Expressing concern about the traffic congestion around the High Court, Mishra stated that he would soon meet with senior district officials to improve traffic flow, ensuring that advocates and litigants do not face difficulties commuting. Regarding the issue of chamber allotment, he stated that every effort would be made to ensure that the chamber allotment system is transparent and in accordance with the wishes of the advocates, prioritizing young and needy advocates.
In the end, he said that he will soon meet the Chief Justice and discuss in detail the issues related to the problems and interests of the advocates. I will always stand with those advocates who have stood with me to solve their problems.
