Prayagraj: The North Central Zone Cultural Center, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organized a youth poetry conference on Monday as part of the Hindi fortnight. At the conference, young poets mesmerized the audience by reciting poems on heroism, patriotism, love, and life. The auditorium reverberated with applause for the poets’ compositions.
Young poet Abhijeet Mishra, while presenting a poem imbued with patriotism, said, “The only thing that is ours, the only thing that is inexhaustible, the only thing that is inexhaustible is this environment, that the country comes first.”
Poet Ashish, who came from Barabanki, tickled the audience with his humorous and satirical composition. He said, “I never found anyone like this, I never found anyone like that, and after love, I never found anyone like that…” Poet Ayushi Tripathi, who came from Banda, presented a poem based on the tricolor and the bravery of daughters. She said, “Look at the new India emerging in the tricolor, even the daughter sang Jai Hind in the tricolor.” Her presentation was well received by the audience.
Poetess Akanksha Bundela presented a poem on the changing social environment. Krishnakant ‘Kamil’, however, moved the audience both emotionally and emotionally by reciting his poem, “We endured the pain, we kept smiling, we kept living together…”
Debate and essay competitions were also organized as part of the Hindi fortnight. The debate competition focused on the topic “Social Media: Possibilities or Challenges for Hindi Development,” and attracted 30 participants from schools and colleges. Forty participants participated in the essay competition, titled “The Role of Art and Culture in the Development of Hindi.” The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Program Advisor Kalpana Sahay, Program Incharge Krishna Mohan Dwivedi, and Shreyas Shukla. Present on the occasion were Saraswati Magazine Editor Anupam Parihar, Assistant Professor of the Hindi Department at Allahabad University, Dr. Vinamra Sen Singh, Assistant Professor of the English Department, Dr. Mrityunjay Rao, and others.
