Prayagraj: Cantt High School, New Cantt Prayagraj hosted the third day of the Teachers’ Professional Development Program organized by Cantt Board Schools, Prayagraj. This program is being held from 05/10/2026 to 09/10/2026. The theme of the third day of the program was “The Importance of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) in Teaching.” The chief guest and speaker was A.J. Begum, Senior Teacher, Kendriya Vidyalaya, New Cantt.

Addressing the teachers, A.J. Begum explained that teaching-learning materials (TLM) play a vital role in making student learning simple, effective, interesting, and activity-based. She provided detailed information about the uses of various types of teaching materials, their appropriate selection, and their effective use in the classroom.

She said that through TLM, difficult and abstract concepts can be made simple and easy for students. Using charts, models, flashcards, pictures, maps, worksheets, and digital resources can increase students’ active participation and make learning more lasting. During the programme, teachers enthusiastically participated in various activities and gained important information and practical suggestions related to the effective use of TLM.

The objective of the programme was to further develop the teaching efficiency, creativity and classroom management skills of teachers by introducing them to modern and effective teaching methods. Cantt High School Principal Mohd. Ansar expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest for attending the programme.
