Prayagraj: Congress Gangapar held a strong demonstration in Pali of Babuganj to protest against the alleged vote theft in Indian democracy. Under the leadership of Congress Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed, a pledge was taken to protect democracy by taking out a march as a black day. During the march, the workers raised their voice with slogans like “Vote thief leave the throne, Gyanesh Kumar resign”. During this, the questions being raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding democratic rights and protection of voters’ votes were also mentioned. Ahmed said that vote is the power of people’s rights, any alleged irregularity with it is a matter of serious concern for democracy. He said that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress will strongly carry forward the fight for the protection of democracy and the Constitution. He called upon the workers to take the voice of people’s rights to every village and every booth. In the padyatra, Congress workers unitedly registered their protest in the blocks of the entire Gangapar demanding to save democracy and electoral transparency.
