Prayagraj: Addressing the Congress Chaupal and the “Save the Vote, Save the Country” march in Chhitemau, Mauaima, Congress Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed called for the protection of democracy, the Constitution, and the right to vote. He said that today, serious questions are being raised about the impartiality of democratic institutions and the security of the public vote. In a democracy, the public vote is the greatest power, and it is every citizen’s responsibility to protect it. Rahul Gandhi has consistently advocated for the protection of the Constitution, democracy, and the right to vote.

The Congress Party will continue to fight for the protection of the public’s right to vote. In a system where the public is concerned about the impartiality of their vote, it is natural to question the strength of democracy. He further stated that democracy is not just about holding elections, but also about fair elections, independent institutions, the dignity of the Constitution, and respect for the voice of the people. Congress workers will go from village to village to educate people about their constitutional rights and continue the peaceful struggle to protect democracy. He clearly stated that if the power of the vote is weakened, the voice of the people will be weakened. Therefore, our resolution is – save the vote, save the constitution and save the democracy of the country. The program was conducted by former head Mohammad Shamim and presided over by district general secretary Shamshul Qamar. On this occasion, Mr. Block President Mohammad Farooq, Jitendra Kumar, Om Prakash Pasi, Dr. Amar Singh Patel, Ansar Ali Sonu, Dilip Srivastava, Ramesh Maurya, Dilip Pal, former head Rajendra Patel, Subhash Chandra, Jitendra Kumar, Ram Chandra Patel, Nanku Ram, Rajendra Kumar Vishwakarma, Nanhe Bhai, Ilyas Ahmed, Ram Naresh, Istiaq Ahmed, Mohammad Shafiq, Shiv Kumar Kesarwani, etc. were present.
