Prayagraj: A heartfelt tribute was held today at the historic Chandrashekhar Azad Park in Prayagraj, paying homage to the martyrdom of pension martyr Dr. Ramashish Singh. On this occasion, National President of NMOPS and State President of ATETVA, Vijay Kumar Bandhu, paid floral tributes to the portrait of the late Dr. Ramashish Singh and paid heartfelt tributes. Present with them were the entire district and block executive committee of ATETVA Prayagraj, along with hundreds of teachers, employees, and officers.

Addressing the gathering, Vijay Kumar Bandhu said that our struggle will continue unabated until the old pension of one crore employees and paramilitary jawans across the country is restored. He said that 97 percent of the employees have rejected the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) and have not even filled the form, despite this the government is repeatedly extending the date and making amendments, whereas the employees only want the exact old pension. Calling privatization a curse for the country, he said that on November 25, a huge demonstration was held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi under the banner of NMOPS against NPS, UPS, privatization and the mandatory requirement of TET before the implementation of RTE, in which lakhs of teachers, employees and officers participated.

State Organization Minister Ashok Kannojia, National Media Co-Incharge and State IT Cell Incharge Syed Danish Imran, and Sanjay Patel said that the TET requirement should be abolished for teachers appointed before the implementation of RTE, so that justice can be done to millions of teachers. They said that the rules of the game are not changed mid-game. District Coordinator Jeetu Bhai and District General Secretary R.K. Yadav said that when MPs and MLAs can receive four pensions each, it is a grave injustice to deprive employees of even a single pension.

Man Singh, MLC, also attended the meeting and paid tribute to the late Dr. Ramashish Singh and expressed his views. On this occasion, a large number of teachers and employees including Amar Yadav, Rajiv Yadav, Pushpraj Singh, Rakesh Singh, Kamlesh Singh, Mithlesh Maurya, Surendra Singh, Subhash Kumar, Suresh Yadav, Raju, Lakshmi Narayan, Neelam Singh, Anjana Singh, Anjali Atri, Preeti Brij, Pushpalata, Anjula Das, Preeti Seth were present.
