Prayagraj: The Rotary Club of Prayagraj Platinum organized a grand tree-planting drive on Sunday morning at Chandrashekhar Azad Park (Company Bagh), Prayagraj, under the banner “Kalpataru – Rotary Platinum Garden.” Club members and their families enthusiastically participated in this drive, planting more than 50 trees, with a commitment to environmental protection and a green future.
The program was launched in keeping with Rotary International’s 2026-27 theme, “Create Lasting Impact.” All members present pledged to plant trees and regularly care for and protect them, ensuring a clean, green, and healthy environment for future generations.
Speaking on the occasion, Club President Rotarian Ajay Sharma said, “The saplings planted today will grow into huge trees in the future, providing clean air, shade and life to the society. ‘Kalpataru – Rotary Platinum Garden’ is not just a tree plantation drive, but our invaluable legacy for the generations to come.”
Club Secretary Rotarian Pramay Mittal said, “The aim of Rotary is not only to provide social service but also to bring about lasting and positive change in society. This campaign towards environmental protection will prove to be an important milestone in the club’s social service.”
Media in-charge Rotarian Manish Garg stated that the club will continue to organize similar environmental conservation campaigns in the future to raise awareness about nature conservation. He added that if each person plants a tree and pledges to care for it, it is possible to create a green and healthy India. Following the tree-planting ceremony, all members enjoyed the mutual harmony and Rotary fellowship, enjoying refreshments including yogurt, jalebi, sandwiches, and crisps.
