Honouring Brave Soldiers

Prayagraj: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, various programs were organized at Cantt High School, New Cantt, Prayagraj, to pay tribute to the valor, courage, and supreme sacrifice of the brave soldiers of the Indian Army. The objective of these programs was to foster a sense of patriotism, discipline, dedication to duty, and respect for brave soldiers among the students. A painting competition themed “My Soldier, My Pride” was held at the school. Displaying their creative talent, students expressed the indomitable courage, valor, and patriotism of Indian soldiers through captivating artworks.

As part of the event, an inspiring documentary based on the Kargil War was screened for the students. Through the documentary, they gained valuable insights into the historical significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the unparalleled valor of the Indian Army, and the supreme sacrifice made by the brave soldiers.

Subsequently, the students were taken on an educational visit to the War Memorial, where they learned about historical facts related to the Kargil War and other military operations. During the visit, students paid heartfelt tributes by offering flowers at the statues of the martyrs and respectfully honored their invaluable contribution and supreme sacrifice for the nation’s defense.

In his address, the school principal, Md. Ansar, stated that such programs play a vital role in strengthening patriotism, discipline, a sense of duty, and respect for the country’s brave soldiers among students. He urged the students to prioritize the national interest and draw inspiration from the ideals of the brave soldiers. All teachers and students of the school were present on the occasion, and together they respectfully remembered the brave martyrs of Kargil, honoring their unparalleled courage and sacrifice.
