Prayagraj: As part of their academic activities, students from Warner College of Dairy Technology (SHUATS) conducted an industrial visit to the renowned biscuit industry, Parle Products (Parle-G), and a clear packaged drinking water manufacturing unit. The purpose of this educational visit was to provide students with practical knowledge of food processing, quality control, packaging technology, and production management. During the visit, the students got a close look at the entire manufacturing process of Parle-G biscuits—raw material testing, mixing, baking, packaging, and quality testing. Industry experts provided detailed information about modern machinery, hygiene standards, and food safety regulations. Along with this, in the clear packaged drinking water industry, students understood various water purification processes like RO, UV treatment, ozonation and bottle packaging system.
Associate Dean Dr. S.G.M. Prasad, Department Heads Dr. Avinash Singh, Dr. Puneet Arora, and Dr. Ankita Gautam were present on the occasion. All the faculty encouraged students to gain practical knowledge about the industry, citing it as crucial for their academic development. According to the college administration, through such industrial visits, students get not only theoretical knowledge of the course but also practical experience, which will prove helpful in building their future career.
