“Hare Ram Seva Sansthan” and Life Vision Foundation holds Holi Milan

Prayagraj: When the fragrance of abir-gulal starts mingling in the air of Phagun, then the distances of relationships start melting in the colours. When the memories of Chaupal knock at the mind, then Holi becomes not just a festival but a celebration of togetherness, affinity and social harmony. Where all the differences of high and low, rich and poor, small and big get erased. With the aim of bringing this feeling alive, a grand event of ‘Chokha-Baati and Holi Milan Samaroh’ was organized under the aegis of Hare Ram Seva Sansthan and Life Vision Foundation on 1 March 2026 (Sunday) from 8.00 pm onwards at Balrampur House, Mumfordganj, Prayagraj, behind Bharat Scout Mandir.

This event is not just a celebration of colors, but a celebration of Indian folk culture and traditional flavors. A special community meal of hot chokha-baati, prepared in the traditional Indian style, was organized, reminiscent of the fragrant soil of the village and the intimacy of the village community. The organizers believe that sharing a meal is not just a taste experience, but a symbol of social equality and brotherhood.

Organized under the leadership of the Institute’s President, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Anant Singh (Assistant Professor, CMP Degree College, Allahabad University), this program is an effort to strengthen social dialogue and cultural consciousness. He said, “The true meaning of Holi is to wash away the impurities of the mind and add color to relationships. Today, when society is facing divisions on many levels, such community gatherings become a means of bringing us closer to each other.”

The institute’s secretary, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh (former Secretary, Higher Education Service Commission, Prayagraj), explained that the festival is open to people from all walks of life. He said, “Holi teaches us that colors do not recognize caste, class, or creed. They only recognize humanity. Our aim is to bring people together, communicate, smile, and reinvigorate social harmony.” The program included a symbolic display of colors, mutual greetings, laughter, intimate encounters, and a special dimension of cultural dialogue. The evening provided a common platform for Prayagraj’s social and intellectual landscape, where a balanced blend of tradition and modernity was evident.

It is noteworthy that Hare Ram Seva Sansthan has been actively involved in social, educational, and cultural fields for many years. Through its support of underprivileged communities, organizing community festivals, and promoting youth participation, the organization has carved a unique identity for itself in the city. This Holi Milan celebration is a meaningful continuation of that ongoing effort.
