Prayagraj: Two semi-finals and the final of the Late Jalaluddin Under-12 Football Tournament were played at the local Symonds ground. In the first semi-final, the Youth Football Academy B team defeated the Youth Football Academy A team 3-0 to advance to the final. Mohammad Swaleh, Akash, and Aman Kumar Patel scored the first goal for Youth Football Academy B. Narayan Gopal, President of the District Football Association, was the chief guest for the first semi-final. In the second semi-final, Sangam City Jhunsi defeated the National Football Academy 2-0 to advance to the final. Rohit Bhartiya scored the first goal and Shivam Yadav scored the second goal.
Abrar Ahmed was the chief guest for the second semi-final. In the final match, Youth Football Academy B defeated Sangam City Jhunsi 2-0 to win the Late Jalaluddin Memorial Trophy. Mohammad Swaleh scored the first goal and Aditya Kumar scored the second goal. Chief guest Adnan Ahmed presented the trophy and prizes to the winners, and Dr. Umar Mustafa Hasan presented the trophy and prizes to the runner-up team. The Best Player award was presented to Mohammad Swaleh by Ram Asare Yadav. The referees were Narayan Gopal. Today’s referees were Prem Bhutani, Jewel George, Abhay Pratap Singh, and Vinod Kumar.
Organizing Secretary Sanjay Bhattacharya and Ravi Sodhia (Football Coach) welcomed the guests, and Joel George conducted the proceedings. The chief guest of the Late Jalaluddin Memorial Football Tournament was Prayagraj’s renowned cardiologist, Honorable Dr. Omar Hasan (Heart Specialist). The chief guest honored some players of the International Football Championship to be held in Nepal by giving them certificates: Under-19 Gold Medalist Nikhil Kumar (Football Team Captain), Under-17 Silver Medalist Divyansh Kanojia, Gaurav Kumar, Shaurya Kesarwani, Prakhar Tiwari, Shiv Khera, coached by Ravi Kumar Sodhia.
