Prayagraj: Speech is power: To Persuade, Convert and Compel. This quote aptly captures the essence of the school-level elocution competition, which serves as a valuable platform for students to overcome one of their greatest fears—stage fright. It enables them to build confidence, connect effectively with their audience, and refine essential skills such as diction, pronunciation, and voice modulation.

The competition was held over three consecutive days with the Junior, Middle and Senior Sections showcasing their remarkable oratory skills. The Junior School took the stage on May 4th with Anushree Pandey, Renu Sircar& June Cornelius as judges. The Middle School competed on May 5th, judged by Lauren Massey, Charmaine Wesley and Amrita Singh,  presented a commendable blend of clarity, confidence and poise. The Pre Primary and the Senior Section held their elocution on 6thMay. The Pre Primary Section was judged by Smriti Chopra, Janet Bennett and Vaishali Millicans. The Senior School was judged by Meena Chatterjee, Lim Terry and Ankita Denis, where the participants delivered powerful renditions that resonated with the audience and reflected thoughtful preparation.

The participants showcased remarkable talent, bringing out the finer nuances that make a speech engaging and impactful. The selection of poems and speeches was impressive, and each student delivered her piece with precision and confidence. Their attention to diction, clarity, and expression reflected thorough preparation and dedication. The judges found it challenging to select the winners, as every participant delivered an outstanding performance.

The Principal, Rev. Dr. (Mrs.) V. Eusebius, congratulated the winners and appreciated the sincere efforts and commitment of both students and teachers. She commended the participants for their confidence and eloquence and acknowledged the teachers for their guidance and encouragement in nurturing these skills.

Middle Section: 6 – C Shriya Singh, 6-D KavyaSrivastava 1st, 7– G Ramya Singh 1st, 8 –E Mannat Aziz 1st. Senior Section: 9 – E Zainab Adhami1st, 10 – B Lavanya Agrawal 1st, 12– B Ayushi Yadav 1st.
