Prayagraj: Dr. A.K. Verma, Principal of Motilal Nehru Medical College and Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital, conducted a surprise inspection of the quality of food being provided to hospital patients on Sunday. During the inspection, he personally tasted the food prepared for the patients to verify its quality, cleanliness, and nutritional status.
At the time of inspection, Vice Principal Dr. Mohit Jain, Associate Professor of Medicine Department Dr. Jitendra Shukla, Dr. Abhishek Pratap Singh, Dr. Anil Singh, Dr. Suryakant Ojha, Dr. Amit Singh, Chief Dietician Kaushan Jahan and other concerned officers and employees were present.
The Principal closely inspected the food distribution system, kitchen cleanliness, and the quality of the food being provided to patients. He instructed the concerned officials to ensure that patients are provided with fresh, nutritious, and quality food in accordance with the prescribed standards and that no negligence should be committed in this regard.
Dr. A.K. Verma stated that along with medications, a balanced and quality diet also plays an important role in patients’ speedy recovery. Therefore, the food system will be regularly monitored and quality will not be compromised. According to the hospital administration, such surprise inspections will continue from time to time with the aim of providing better health services to the patients.
