Prayagraj: A tree plantation programme was organised by Mahila Kalyan Samiti/ Prayagraj Division in Railway Traffic Colony today on 3rd June, 2026 under the “World Environment Day” campaign being run from 15th May, 2026 to 05th June, 2026 on the theme of ‘Climate Change’ in Prayagraj Division. At the event, Mrs. Vandana Agarwal, President of the Women’s Welfare Committee, Prayagraj Division, expressed her commitment to environmental protection and a green future by planting a sapling. On this occasion, she stated that climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time, and to mitigate its impact, it is essential to transform tree planting and environmental protection into a mass movement. She called on everyone to plant as many trees as possible and pledge to protect them. During the program, various species of shady and environmentally friendly plants were planted throughout the Railway Colony campus. Attendees were also made aware of the importance of regular care and protection of the plants, so that the planted plants can grow into strong trees in the future and contribute to environmental protection.
Present on this occasion were the Vice Presidents of the Women’s Welfare Committee, Mrs. Gulshan Waris, Mrs. Pragya Deepak Kumar, Mrs. Vandana Singh, Secretary Mrs. Niharika Singh, Treasurer Mrs. Anushree, and other members of the committee. All members pledged to make continuous efforts to promote environmental protection, cleanliness, and a green environment.
