Prayagraj: The 107th annual Urs was celebrated with great pomp at the Dargah Sharif of Daulat Mazar Shah, located in the Hari Masjid, Karelabag Balu Mandi. The Ghusal Sharif was held on the 23rd of the lunar month of Zilhijjah, and the Mehfil-e-Shama was held after the Zuhr prayer on the 24th. Following this, the Fatiha Khani of Kul Sharif was also organized.

Maulana Arshad Niazi, the custodian of the Dargah Sharif, and Maulana Mohammad Qasim, the mosque’s imam, played a special role in organizing the Urs. Mutawalli Mohammad Alam’s service on this occasion was also commendable. Several other prominent figures, including Taufiq Niazi, Imtiaz Niazi, Umar Siddiqui, Akbar Siddiqui, Rizwan, journalist, Faizan, Zeeshan, and Irfan, were also present.

Like every year, a gathering was held on the occasion of the annual Urs, which was attended by a large number of people. Naat and Qawwali were performed at the gathering, where pilgrims from various regions recited the Fatiha and paid their respects at the Dargah Sharif. The Qawwals’ performances filled the atmosphere with a Sufi atmosphere. The shrine and mosque were specially decorated for the Urs. The beauty of the decorations attracted people. During the event, devotees offered chadar (chadar) at the shrine and made wishes.

Khadim Maulana Arshad Niazi said that, like every year, this year too the Urs was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. He said that this Urs is not just a religious event, but is also considered a symbol of mutual brotherhood and goodwill. At the end of the program, the Fatihah (Fatiha) was recited during the Kul Sharif, during which Maulana Mohammad Qasim offered prayers. He emphasized the need for righteousness and a willingness to help others.
