MP serious on deteriorating power system of Yamunapar, representative submitted proposal for capacity enhancement to the Suptd Engineer
Prayagraj: Allahabad Parliamentary Constituency MP Ujjwal Raman Singh has expressed deep displeasure over the poor and deteriorating power supply in the Yamunapar region for some time now. On Wednesday, MP representative Vinay Kushwaha met with Lokesh Chandra, Superintending Engineer of Electricity Distribution Division-1, Yamunapar Prayagraj, to expedite the resolution of public complaints.
During the meeting, the MP representative handed over a detailed proposal letter to the Superintending Engineer regarding power improvement and capacity enhancement and new electrification works in the Yamunapar area.
MP representative Vinay Kushwaha informed the Superintending Engineer that complaints of low voltage, declared and undeclared power cuts, and burning of transformers are continuously coming in from the rural and semi-urban areas of Yamunapar. MP Ujjwal Raman Singh has taken a tough stand on this chaos and has directed the departmental officials to make improvements with immediate effect. He said that the capacity of overloaded sub-stations and transformers should be increased.
In those villages where uninterrupted electricity has not yet reached, new infrastructure should be prepared and loose and old wires should be replaced immediately to prevent accidents.
During the conversation, the MP’s representative stated clearly that the public is suffering from power shortages during this hot summer. JEs don’t pick up the phone, and linemen don’t listen, so what should the public do? If concrete steps aren’t taken soon, the MP himself will raise the issue at a higher level.
Accepting the proposal, the Superintending Engineer assured that after seriously studying the electricity problems of the Yamunapar area, work on the proposal for capacity enhancement will be started as soon as possible, so that the general public can get relief.
