“Jan Jagran Yatra” covering thousands of kms for 20 days for OPS, education, healthcare and employment concluded
Prayagraj: On the arrival of renowned labour worker leader Com. Dr. Kamal Usri in Allahabad, hundreds of railway employees welcomed him by garlanding him and raising slogans near the ‘Prayagraj Junction Howrah Ind’ shrine. Presiding over the welcome meeting, Indian Railway Employees Federation National General Secretary and North Central Railway Workers Union Central General Secretary Com. Manoj Pandey said that our organization has been continuously fighting in unity with the organized railway employees as well as the workers of the unorganized sector. Therefore, under the leadership of NMOPS National President and ATETVA Uttar Pradesh President Hon. Vijay Kumar Bandhu ji, the “Jan Jagran Yatra” for OPS, education, medical care and employment started from Kakori Shaheed Smarak Sthal, Lucknow on 11 June 2026, the birthday of immortal martyr Pandit Ram Prasad “Bismil” ji. It covered thousands of kilometers for 20 consecutive days in Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and concluded at KGMU, Lucknow.
Then, in the “Jan Jagran Yatra” for OPS, education, medical and employment, our Central Organization Minister Dr. Kamal Usri ji continuously participated day and night in the entire Yatra, uniting the railway employees in the scorching afternoon of June, shoulder to shoulder with pensioner Shri Vijay Kumar Bandhu ji. Today, after many days, when “North Central Railway Workers Union”, Central Organization Minister” Dr. Kamal Usri reached Allahabad, then along with hundreds of railway employees, we together welcomed and congratulated our dear comrade in struggle, Dr. Kamal Usri.
Overwhelmed by the welcome and felicitation, Dr. Kamal Usri said that we are very thankful to our colleagues who have given us so much respect. He further said that when both the ruling party and the opposition are not talking about the old pension which is the support for old age of the railway employees who work day and night for the welfare of the country, are not speaking openly on railway privatization, stalled recruitment in the railways and the Eighth Pay Commission, then for education, medical care, employment, in favor of unemployed youth who are committing suicide due to unemployment and paper leak, NCRWU affiliated IREF, Hon. NMOPS along with the National President and Uttar Pradesh ATEVA President is conducting a public awareness yatra for OPS, education, health and employment. Earlier also our organization colleagues were involved in the “NPS Privatization Quit India Yatra” which started from Champaran, Bihar on 1 June 2023 and which covered 18 thousand kilometers through many states for 35 days. NCRWU affiliated IREF will continue to fight for the interests of OPS and railway employees. With the cooperation and participation of the public, Janta Ki Sawari will stop the privatization of Indian Railways. The main people who participated in the welcome ceremony were Syed Irfat Ali, Ram Kishore, Ranjeet, Deepak Kumar, Raj Kumar, Santosh Verma, VK Yadav, Arun Kumar, Pathak ji, Amit Ranjan, Rakesh Namdev, Lalman Patel etc.
