Rampratap Inter College Jasra got first place: Mandal level street play-skit competition organized under Scout Care
Prayagraj: Under the direction of Regional Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Uttar Pradesh Dr. Prabhat Kumar, guidance of Joint Education Director, Prayagraj Division R.N. Vishwakarma and with the cooperation of Chairman of the Jury Committee and District Chief Commissioner, Dr. Santosh Kumar Rai, the divisional level street play/skit competition was organised under the Scout Care Programme at the Regional Training Centre, Mumfordganj, Prayagraj in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and dignity.
The program was inaugurated by District Basic Education Officer, Anil Kumar. He said that Scouts and Guides are not just an organization, but a powerful medium for nation-building, discipline, service, and social awareness. Street plays are a highly effective medium for bringing about positive change in society, through which the message of awareness can be conveyed to the public.
The competition was successfully conducted by Sundaram Shukla, Assistant Regional Organization Commissioner, Prayagraj Division. In the competition, Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul teams from various districts of Prayagraj Division staged impressive street plays on important topics like character building, cleanliness and sanitation, health and clean habits, environmental protection and pollution control, road safety and traffic discipline, corruption prevention, citizen sensitivity and assistance, protection and security strengthening of public resources and public property and patriotism and received immense appreciation from the guests and judges present.
The jury of the competition included District Commissioner (Scout) Pramod Kumar Tripathi from Pratapgarh district and District Commissioner (Guide) Mrs. Priyanka Jaiswal from Fatehpur district for fair and transparent evaluation. District Secretary Dr. P.P. Singh, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Prayagraj, was also present at the event.
In the competition results, Ram Pratap Inter College, Sirsa, secured first place in the Scout category. The team from Shri Ram Pratap Inter College, Sirsa, also excelled in the Guide category, securing first place. In the Cub and Bulbul category, the Cub and Bulbul teams from TRS School, Kaushambi, secured first place. Entries from all the winning teams will now be submitted for the state-level competition.
On this occasion, Assistant Secretary, Prayagraj district Piyush Kumar Singh, District Organization Commissioner, Kaushambi district Shyam Babu, Dr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Mrs. Darshi Srivastava, Dr. Harishchandra Yadav, Dilip Kumar, Mrs. Poonam Verma, Mrs. Shivangi, Mrs. Sunita Devi, Mrs. Pramila Maurya, Yashwant Singh, Mansingh Patel, Gama Prasad, Abhinav Yadavvanshi, Shivam Pandey, Dheeraj Patel, Sandeep Vishwakarma, Abhinav, Mohammad Aziz, Ms. Tanu Agrahari, Lalit Kumar, Ms. Shraddha Gaur and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, along with Scout-Guide officials, trainers, Rovers-Rangers and volunteers from various districts of the division were present.
